Global leadership in a changing world: Dame Minouche Shafik shares reflections from her career spanning global finance, development economics and academia at this year’s Nadia Younes Memorial Lecture. Dame Shafik is the director of the London School of Economics and Political Science and the first woman in the school’s history to hold this position. At 36, Shafik was the youngest vice-president in the history of the World Bank. She is former deputy managing director of the International Monetary Fund and former deputy governor of the Bank of England.
