On November, 4 2019 The Photography Gallery in the department of Journalism and Mass Communication at The American University in Cairo is delighted to host an exciting exhibition of visual stories from the Danish School of Media and Journalism (DMJX) based in Aarhus, Denmark. DMJX runs full time internationally renowned photojournalism programmes and each semester ten international photojournalism students create a magazine with individual photo stories. The students do all the work themselves with the assistance from faculty in photojournalism, writing and design. This student exhibition, Life Exposed, shows selected images and stories from two magazines, Nest and Avalanche. In these publications students explore diverse themes including immigration, alternative lifestyles and personal identity. Both magazines are on display in the gallery. The DMJX program has had several Egyptian photography students over the years, some of include: Ahmed Hayman, Heba Khamis and Roger Anis.
The opening reception will be on Monday November 4, 2019 at 1pm.
