A screening of the award-winning visual ethnographic documentary film 'El Moulid: Egyptian Religious Festival'.


The 40-minute film explores the fascinating annual festival celebrating the moulid of Sayid Ahmed el-Badawi, a 13th century Sufi leader, with its mix of religion, pageantry, and politics.


The film will be followed by a talk titled 'How I made this film and Why?” and discussion with Professor Fadwa El Guindi, Ph.D
