In July, we are celebrating Ladies of Letters. TYPE Lab will be hosting four generations of incredible women designers who have made extensive contributions to the development of Arab type design and visual culture. Our historian will be discussing forgotten female calligraphers and patrons from the Mamluk era while our designers will discuss the game-changing work that they have developed in various design disciplines as well as the challenges that they face as women working in the field.

Our Ladies of Letters will be featured in stories and posts throughout the week and in live talks every Saturday night. Stay tuned to listen to the ladies.
